We can help get any Full or Partial Demolition
(Demo) Permit for your Residential
or Commercial project. We also take care of the permit
process from start to finish including permit
submission, plan review, resubmission (to correct
any comments if needed) and getting the permit
issued.
Full Demolition Permit is when you are going to
knock down the entire structure whether it be single
family home or commercial property. It could be part
of a larger project where another project will be
built in its place or just a stand alone permit
where nothing is planned to be built in its place in
the near future.
Partial Interior Demolition is when part of the
interior of a residential or commercial property is
going to be removed to make way for the new
remodeling that is going to take place.
As part of the building department reviews you will
need professional plans showing the proposed scope of work and
other applicable needed documents. If full
demolition work, a copy of the property survey can
be used and can be marked up with the scope of work.
In addition, for full demolition work an
Asbestos Survey will be needed as part of the
review and we provide that service also. Other items
are also needed for a full demolition which include
letter from an AC Contractor to remove the Freon
from the AC units and also Utilities shut off
letters from FPL and water/wastewater providers.
For partial interior demolition work if work is
minor a drawing by hand can be used to show the
location and scope of work. If work is more involved
then professional plans will be needed. On
residential property, permits can be applied for as Owner
Builder (if property has homestead exemption). If
property is a commercial property then a Contractor
will be needed. We
can recommend a Contractor if needed for the
project. We can also
help with a
Design Professional (Architect / Engineer) if
needed for the required signed and sealed drawings.
In addition, if you did work without a permit and
city gave you a violation we can help to get it
legalized when possible.
